Jason, would you say the Orion in the same ballpark of tone as the KSR Gemini? Obviously with the smaller power section I'm assuming that the Gemini will sound larger but thinking they may be similar in sound. Does the Orion match the brutality that you can get from the Gemini with or without a boost? Love the simplicity of the Orion but considering a Gemini for the versatility but want to make sure that I won't be losing anything from the Gemini aside from the array of tones if I were to go with the Orion. I was wondering if you could give me your opinion Thanks Jason!

I thought #1 the multiwatt Triple Rec sounded the best, #4 the Rev F was a close second, followed by #3, and surprisingly I thought #2 was flat and lacked dynamic range and just boomy. I've never heard a Rev F triple Rec and I'm not a big rectifier guy, but I will say that Triple Rec multiwatt sounded fantastic with the 33.

Might actually buy this if they keep it in the Solar catalog after 2025

In the mix and solo’d preferred 4 1 2 3 Mono I preferred 4 3 2 1. All sound crushing! The Rev F Dual and Rev G Dual would be my first picks based on mono and then I would probably blend another amp with either of those in a mix. Killer sounds 🤘

Just saw Kyle Bull do a demo and yours, you both really demonstrated this amp well. You could do a gig with just a guitar, cable, and this amp in a pinch. The less stuff the better.

The 5150 amps have always sounded better to me with el34s.

This IMO, just proves that a good amp in the hands of a great player will always sound great.... a lot of hate was passed onto this amp for not good reason by RUclipsrs and once again, you proved them wrong! Great demo Jason!

5150 family of Amps continues to be the best metal amps. EVH and James Brown's true gift to the world. There's never been a better time to be a metal head. So much great affordable gear. This amp doesn't even have competition. What else is close in the price range?

Yeah the amp sounds great, but let’s talk about the player. Simply some of the tightest thrash riffs I’ve ever heard and a great lead as well. Always love your playing in these videos!

What speakers are in that cab? I feel like they’ve dialed back some gain (which is fine, by 3 on the red channel with the burn it was already ridiculous) and I feel like the red channel has the midrange that was really lacking on the old one unless you had an EQ in the loop. I wish they would say whether they did some voicing tweaks, but to my ears it sounds like they did.
